Four Things to Know About the Florida Gold Coast Circuit

Florida Gold Coast logoThe Christmas gifts are opened, and it’s the time of year where everyone flocks to sunny Tampa, Florida for several weeks of showing and fun in the sun.  While summer-like weather is never a guarantee, it’s always a refreshing getaway from the typical winter conditions of most of the country.  This year, all three weeks will be managed by the team at Mark Harrell Horse Shows, and you know they’ll make these three weeks to remember.

The first week kicks off with the Florida Gold Coast, and aside from good weather (Weather.com is currently predicting highs in the 80s) and great competition, here are 3 things to know about the 2015 Gold Coast.

  1. Great Awards– There is always a chance to bring home some great loot, and this year is no different.  Exhibitors can look forward to the chance to snag tack trunks, CWD saddles, and Schneiders Saddlery, just to name a few.

  2. Flat Fee– Flat fees have caught on for many shows in the past few years, and the Florida Gold Coast Circuit is no exception.  $599 per horse covers all AQHA class fees, one stall, office charge, and AQHA processing fees.  Quite the bargain for a six judge show that is also NSBA approved!  If you plan to show for all three weeks, you can bundle that into a $1,850 flat fee for a total of 18 judges.

  3. Exhibitors’ Parties– It’s a festive time of year, and the holiday parties continue down in Tampa.  On Tuesday, December 29th, join in on the fun in the Hospitality Pavilion for the first exhibitor’s party of the show.  Two days later, count down the end of 2015 and welcome in the New Year at the annual New Year’s Eve party.

  4. Free Live Streaming– Can’t make it down to Tampa this year?  Watch from your laptop or even your smartphone to make sure you don’t miss any show ring action.

The Florida winter shows are as much of a holiday tradition as opening gifts and hanging stockings.  They continue to get better year after year, and this year should be no different.  For additional information, including schedules, visit Mark Harrell Horse Show’s official website.  To keep up with all the latest happenings, follow the Florida Gold Coast Circuit on Facebook.
