NCEA Announces First Rankings Of 2014 Spring Season

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association has released its first national team rankings of the 2014 spring season, the NCEA selection committee announced Tuesday.
South Carolina remains the nation’s No. 1 team following a win at New Mexico State this past weekend. Baylor, which has not competed this spring, moves to No. 2. Auburn, which defeated Delaware State before losing to Oklahoma State this past weekend in Dover, Del., dropped one spot to No. 3.
Kansas State, which opened the spring with a 10-9 win at South Dakota State, checks in at No. 4, while New Mexico State drops one spot to No. 5.
Georgia has posted three wins this spring, defeating Delaware State, UT-Martin and Texas A&M, and remains at No. 6. Oklahoma State, which beat then-No. 2 Auburn, stays at No. 7.
TCU, which has not competed this spring, is ranked No. 8. UT-Martin, which defeated Delaware State and lost in a tiebreaker to Georgia, is No. 9. Texas A&M, which fell to Georgia last weekend, is No. 10.
