Oklahoma City Area expected to see nearly $11 Million in Economic Impact

The American Quarter Horse Journal, Oklahoma City — Beginning August 5, more than 800 riders and nearly 1,200 horses from 45 states and five foreign countries will compete for 33 world championships at the 2011 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. The show runs through August 13 at Oklahoma State Fair Park.

In addition to free spectator admission, great entertainment and tradeshow vendors offering a variety of products for the horse lover, the 2011 Ford Youth World offers nine days of classes including barrel racing, jumping, reining, roping and cutting. The 2011 Ford Youth World showcases the finest youth in the country and their impressive American Quarter Horse mounts. AQHYA members also have the opportunity to compete outside the arena through judging and speech contests as well as team demonstration speeches and team spirit awards.
