The Changing of the Guard – Yearling Sale Brings Attention to 2018 Tom Powers Hopefuls
Saturday night in Berrien Springs brought the premier Yearling sale. With 51 of the finest yearlings in the country consigned, this was the place to be for those with dreams of winning the Maiden Sales Stakes in 2018. With bidders flying in just for the sale, everyone was buzzing about the prospects in the ring.
Highlights of the sale included the Open and Non Pro Longe Line champion at the Powers, Forever Kool by Machine Made, the full brother to the 2017 Tom Powers Maiden Sales Stakes Champion Livin Likea Rockstar by Red White N Good and out of the great mare Livin Ona Prayer as well as the great Shes Willy Wicked by Winnies Willy. Prospects by all the hottest sires were featured in the sale with Its A Southern Thing, Lazy Loper, Batt Man, One N Only, The Good Ranger, Certain Potential, Too Sleepy To Zip, RL Best Of Sudden and more represented.
At the end of the night the highest bids were on the incredible Machine Made filly Forever Kool who brought $35, 500 and the last horse in the sale Imakeitlooksogood the pretty bay filly by Elvis on Impulse sold for$ 32,000.
