July 1st Recap

July 1st, 2017– It was another great day of showing, and everything concluded before the storms hit!  It just wouldn’t be the Tom Powers without at least one day of mud.  The morning started out with the final Longe Line events, the  Super Sires Non Pro LL and the Open Yearling Longe Line.  Forever Kool continued her longe line domination by winning the Open Yearling Longe line with Kathie Kennedy for Susan and Stanley Scott of Haylo Farms.  Yesterday also saw the inaugural 3 Year Old Stakes Sale Open and Non Pro classes.  The Non Pro was won by Mallory Menard and UF Batt Girl, while the Open was claimed by Machine Made Hottie, ridden by Teresa Meyer for Erin Lieurance.  The future of the industry rounded out the day with the Leadline class.  Today, marks another full day of classes capped by the annual BBQ sponsored by Game Time Sports Medicine and the Yearling Stakes Sale
