Breyer® Introduces New NRHA Reining Horse Model
Press Release
(Aug. 3, 2016 – Pequannock, NJ) – Founded in 1966, the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) is dedicated to the promotion of the reining horse and the sport of reining. In the short 50 years since its founding, reining has swiftly grown in popularity and stature within the horse industry drawing thousands of new people into the sport and becoming a fan favorite and the first western discipline to be included in the World Equestrian Games.
And now, in honor of its 50th anniversary, Breyer® has released a beautiful new reining horse to celebrate.
Reining is an exciting Western sport with roots on the ranch. Horse and rider pairs that compete in NRHA reining events run a pattern that is designed to show off the athletic ability of a ranch-type horse within a show arena. These patterns include both slow and fast circles, roll backs, spins, flying lead changes, and the crowd-favorite: sliding stops! Breyer’s NRHA 50th Anniversary model is appropriately shown executing this hallmark maneuver.
From humble goals of preserving and promoting a sport and a lifestyle, to becoming an organization with many riders and horses reaching the million-dollar (and higher!) milestone in event earnings, and hosting approved shows around the world – it’s clear that the world loves a good reining horse, and the NRHA and the exhilarating sport of reining are here to stay!
Breyer’s Reining horse is available nationwide at toy stores, tack shops and agricultural stores.
