Two days of competition in Tulsa, OK on November 7-8 welcomed horses and riders from 26 states and 5 Canadian provinces for the third annual Western Dressage Association of America World Championship Show. With a substantial increase in entries over the previous year, more than 20 breeds were represented in five levels for youth, amateur and open riders as well as suitability and equitation. The team of Lynn Palm, Cyril Pittion-Rossillon and Marie-Frances Davis showcased their training of dressage principles with 2 Palm Partnership Training horses, Larks Home Run, My Royal Legacy and students from MN and FL.
Palm piloted Larks Home Run to 3 WDAA World Championships in Levels 2 and 3, skyrocketing a record to a total 7 WDAA World Championships. The last own son of famed Quarter Horse stallion Rugged Lark, Homer is owned by Dr. Elizabeth Stauber-Johnson, who proudly accepted the blue ribbons along with 2 Gist belt buckles for the Highest Average Scores in both Levels 2 and 3 ranging from 70.1% to 76.7%.
Marie-Frances Davis, Palm Partnership Training manager and Western Dressage Association of Florida’s Vice-President, was aboard My Royal Legacy, an American Warmblood gelding owned by Palm and Pittion-Rossillon in partnership with Patricia Crang of Ontario, Canada. My Royal Legacy earned a top ten placing with 72.97% in his Level 1 debut.
