NSBA Foundation Hosts Equestrians With Disabilities Exhibitor Welcome Reception
The National Snaffle Bit Association Foundation hosted a welcome reception for Congress Equestrians With Disabilities participants and their supporters Friday evening at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. EWD exhibitors were able meet other contestants who will be showing with them throughout the weekend, as well as get answers to questions about how the classes will run at the Congress and learn more about the NSBA Foundation.
The All American Quarter Horse Congress is holding seven EWD classes at this year’s show, including Walk Trot Showmanship – Level 2, Walk Trot Showmanship – Advanced level 3, Walk Trot Trail – Supported Level 1, Walk-Trot Trail Independent Level 2, Walk Trot Horsemanship – Independent, Walk –Trot Western Pleasure – Independent and Walk Trot Western Pleasure – Supported. The classes attracted nearly 60 entries from eight states that included Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas, just to name a few.
Participants and their families and supporters mingled with NSBA volunteers as well as NSBA Foundation sponsors, as well as heard Foundation board member Rebecca Hogan explain the Foundation’s programs. In addition to EWD programs, the Foundation supports Heroes On Horses classes, the Trainer Crisis Fund, the Youth Scholarship Program and Animal Welfare.
