NSBA World Show’s Second Day Sees Champions in Three Arenas

The NSBA World Championship Show and Breeder’s Championship Futurity continued into its second day on Monday, and crowned futurity and world champions in three arenas on the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex in Tulsa, OK.

Among Monday’s winners were Beth Case, who earned the first Breeders Championship Futurity trophy cup of the show in the BCF 4-6 Year Old Open Hunter Under Saddle, which showed in the Ford Truck Arena. She piloted Willy Has Potential to the championship for owner Shelby Ratliff. They are shown at left. Nancy Sue Ryan piloted Boys Move Over to the reserve award for Cathrin Gutmann.

“He’s always a good boy,” Case said of the gelding by Good I Will Be. “He is the easiest horse ever.” Ratliff went on to win the world champion title in the Maturity Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle.

Hunter Under Saddle champions continued in the Ford Truck pen, with Killian Mullen and Certifiably Good (shown at right) earning the championship title in BCF Three Year Old Limited Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle. Al Betcha and Megan Wheeler earned the reserve champion title in the class.

“It’s my second year with him,” Mullen said. “He’s a great horse. He’s totally lazy, so you have to work at it with him, but he went really good for me. He was really out there, and his head was good. We worked hard for the win.” The three year-old gelding is by Good I Will Be.
