The Little Futurity to Hold Heart of Stone Class
The horse industry’s heart collectively broke earlier this year when it learned of the passing of Stone Pope, the toddler son of Shane and Holt Pope of Conway, South Carolina. The industry rallied together to support the Popes during this difficult time and that support has not waned.
Next week, The Little Futurity, held in Raleigh, North Carolina, will hold the Heart of Stone class which will be open to all ages and all divisions of horses. With a $100 entry fee, all of the proceeds will go to the Heart of Stone Foundation, which helps raise awareness Congenital Heart Disease, helping local Heart families, and Pediatric Cardiology Units in the Carolinas. There will be several prizes and an NSBA trophy awarded to the winner.
Before Tuesday night’s slot class, they will auction off “Moondog,” a great horse donated by the Kimmels with the proceeds also benefiting the Heart of Stone Foundation.
