Cody Sapergia and Made In Walla Top Open Qualifier In NRHA European Futurity

Provided by Simona Diale, Kreuth, Germany, April 20, 2015 – Topping the qualifying go round of the NRHA European Open Futurity was NRHA Million Dollar Rider, Cody Sapergia, riding Made In Walla for owners Sabine Lisec and Chuck Klipfel.
 
The Canadian rider based in Austria closed his performance with a 222 to win the go-round. “My horse has matured a lot over this past winter and was really good for me today,” said the past NRHA Open World Champion about the talented gelding European nominated by Ambrosini Quarter Horses.
 
The second highest score in the €92,000-added Level 4 division is past NRHA Open World Champion Ann Fonck riding Roses For Einstein (Einsteins Revolution x Roses Champagne), nominated by Nicole Keesen and owned by 23 Quarter Horses Az. Agricola S.S. In the first day of competition, the duo posted a 218.5.
 
Winning the €40,905.66 Level 3 division and the € 23,374.66-added Level 2 division was Jurgen Pouls of The Netherlands riding Mauro Straubel’s Hollywoods Hope TB (Dun It For You x Brennas Hollywood). The stallion was European Nominated by Irmgrad Brendgens.
 
Stephan Rohde of Germany, riding Nicos Custom Gunner (Gunner x Nics Custom) for Isabeau Rieman, posted a 214.5 to lead the qualifying go-round of the € 11,687.33-added Level 1 division. The pretty mare was North American Nominated by Frank Millstid and European Optioned by Stephan Rohde.

The KL Performance Non Pro European Futurity

The qualifying go-round of the KL Performance Horses Non Pro Futurity lit the stage in Kreuth today. Two young European ladies tied to win the €36,000-added Level 4 division:  Gina Mario riding CS Eye Catching Gun, a gelding by My Royal Gun and out of Jessie Wright On (nominated by Corinna Schumacher) owned by XCS Ranch LLC, along with SL Wild Spook (Smart Spook x Wild Sister) ridden and owned by Fabienne Sutter and European Nominated by Sandra Linnig-Fohl. Fabienne also topped the €17,531-added Level and the €10,017.71-added Level 2.

The highest score posted in the  €5,008.86-added Level 1 was a 209.5 scored by Whizberry Pie, a mare by Topsail Whiz and out of Smokes Berry Pie, owned and ridden by Mariam Lienweber and nominated by Vision Quest Reiners, LLC.
 
Consolation
Both the Open and the Non Pro Futurity riders will have a chance to earn a spot  in the finals on Wednesday through the Consolation.
 
Starting the day on Tuesday at 8 am CET will be the €450-added Limited Open followed by the €3,500-added Arcese Intermediate Non Pro and the €2,500-added Arcese Intermediate Non Pro.
