University of Florida’s Equine Program Gearing Up for Sale In The Swamp

If you’re in the market for a prospect, be sure to check out the University of Florida’s Equine Program’s upcoming “Sale in the Swamp” featuring horses by popular stallions like Diesel Only, A Chance For Romance, and several others.  The sale will be held April 25th, with a live horse preview at 10:00 am with the auction to start at 1:00 pm. 

Proceeds from the sale benefit the UF Equine Science Program, operated in conjunction with the Horse Psychology and Training and Equine Enterprise Management classes.  Students in these classes handle the training the training of these prospects, including ground work and saddle work.  Students in the Enterprise Management classes are responsible for working the sale and involved in certain aspects of the sale’s structure.

Any potential buyers who would like more time to preview the horses can visit on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:15-4:15 PM starting now and leading up to the sale with the opportunity to watch and talk to the students who work with the horses.
