Horse Industry Mourns Passing of Stone Pope

Pleasurehorse.com sends our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Pope family on the passing of Stone Pope, the 17 month-old son of Shane and Holt Pope of South Carolina.

In a short amount of time, Stone captured the hearts of many throughout the horse industry, and this tragic loss has resonated throughout. 

His mother, Holt, wrote on her Facebook page, “From the day he was born, you could look at Stone and know he was a miracle. And while I am selfish and want him here, I am rejoicing in the fact that we got 17 amazing months with a little boy that wasn’t supposed to be here.  He touched lives all over the world, and his changed life, changed lives. The miracle and blessing of his story will live on.”

Funeral arrangements are still pending but will take place Saturday, at Myrtle Beach Community Church, 557 George Bishop Parkway.
