Registration fees for cropout Paint Horses—those horses that are the product of Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred sires and dams—have been dramatically lowered for 2015, which means owners of these cropout Paints have more reasons than ever to join the APHA family

Beginning January 1, 2015, registration fees for cropouts have been slashed for those horses that are yearlings or older. The fee to register a 1-year-old or older cropout Paint is now $150 for members online (using the APHAonline.org registration portal), $165 for members via traditional mail or $265 for non-members. This is a savings of up to 85 percent!

Cropout Paints have long been a valuable part of APHA, and since the repeal of the “One Paint-Parent” rule in 2012, these horses of color are once again eligible for APHA registration, provided they meet color requirements outlined in Rule RG-070 in the Official APHA Rule Book

If you have a Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred that meets the cropout color requirements, there’s no better time to increase your horse’s marketability and available opportunities with APHA dual-registration. Registering your horse is easy—check out our online registration how-to video on YouTube.com/aphavideo or learn more about how to register a cropout here.
