As the AQHA World Show kicks off this week in Oklahoma City, we thought it would be fun to flip through the history books and remember some of the great accomplishments of World Shows gone by for this Throwback Thursday.  This week, we remember the 1995 All Around Amateur, Karen Evans Mundy and the great, All In Silver.  That year, the team dominated the amateur competition to capture their second consecutive All Around Amateur title, having it won it the previous year in 1994.  In 1995, they competed in a total of 9 events and took home a world championship in equitation over fences and a reserve world championship in pleasure driving.  They were also fourth in amateur hunter under saddle, fifth in amateur equitation, western horsemanship, and hunter hack, and 10th in amateur working hunter.

She would later go on to win the All Around Amateur title a total of eight times with five different horses: Hes A Honky Tonk Man (1992), All In Silver (1994, 1995), Play My Song (1999, 2000), Gifted Circle (2002), and Ask Me For Details (2003, 2004).  These days, Karen has given up her Amateur card and has focused her talent and experience in training and coaching amateur and youth riders at Mundy Quarter Horses in Cedar Hill, TN.  You can keep up with her and her team by visiting her website.
