McMullen Set for AQHA Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State equestrian senior Lindsey McMullen will compete at the 2014 American Quarter Horse Association Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge in Oklahoma City, Okla., this week. The two-day event is set to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 19, and wrap up on Thursday, Nov. 20.

The Cowgirl senior is one of eight riders from eight different institutions that were selected by the NCEA Selection Committee using 2013-14 individual statistics for horsemanship. McMullen posted a 12-3 mark in horsemanship last season on her way to earning All-America and All-Big 12 honors in the event. The Norris, Tenn., native is off to an impressive start to the 2014-15 season as well, currently boasting a 4-0 record in the horsemanship event.

Preliminary action in Oklahoma City will begin on Wednesday, with the finals scheduled for Thursday.
