Five APHA Regional Clubs Earn Sponsorships
Press Release via Paint Horse Journal
Five regional clubs are receiving an extra $1,000 in support for their tireless efforts and Paint Horse advocacy, thanks to the APHA Regional Club Sponsorship Program.
The program rewards APHA regional clubs that excel at encouraging new show participation, recruiting members, enhancing the APHA exhibitor experience and presenting creative show formats.
“Regional clubs are so important to the success of the APHA, and the Regional Club Sponsorship Program allows us to reward clubs for thinking outside the box and expanding our tent to include new members,” Regional Club Manager Julie Haney said. “It is exciting to see how our clubs are reaching out to their communities and promoting membership in unique ways. Many deserving contenders applied this year.”
Out of 28 applicants, APHA awarded regional club sponsorship to the Eastern Idaho, Empire State, Inland Northwest, Kentucky and Northern Michigan Paint Horse clubs.
The clubs’ outreach and promotion programs included first-time exhibitor discount vouchers, combined events with the Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program, 4-H member outreach, jackpots for tenth-place exhibitors and more.
Each club will receive $500 to support a Paint-O-Rama show or a one- and two-judge show hosted in 2014. The final $500 will be awarded once the show results are processed to verify sponsorship criteria were met.
The clubs will also be honored at the 2015 APHA Convention, February 27–March 2 in Fort Worth, Texas.
