Interscholastic Equestrian Association to Hold Informational Seminar During the 2014 NRHA Derby
Cleveland Heights, Ohio – June 19, 2014 — Early next week the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) will arrive in Oklahoma City in preparation of the 2014 IEA Western National Final competitions taking place June 26-28. For a third year in a row, the finals are being held in conjunction with the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby at the Oklahoma State Fair Park.
Among other events, the IEA will host an informational seminar on Wednesday, June 25th, at noon, for anyone interested in learning about how the Association can benefit both young riders and professionals alike. A presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Topics to be covered include an overview of the IEA, how the program works and tips to form a new team.
Complimentary food and drink will be available for all attendees.
Founded in 2002, The IEA was organized to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction available to middle and secondary school students. Its purpose is to set minimum standards for competition, provide information concerning the creation and development of school associated equestrian sport programs, and to generally promote the common interests of safe riding instruction and competition, and education on matters related to equestrian competition at the middle and secondary school levels. During the season, the IEA had 10,000 participants, aged 11-20, in the Association. For additional information, please visit the IEA website: www.rideiea.org.
