This year the 2014 Rocking Horse Classic, proudly held during the New Jersey Quarter Horse Association’s Dream Show, was bigger and better than ever! Over 100 entries in five classes made for a very successful weekend for the June Brandy Foundation (JBF).  JBF is the charity that 100% of the entry fees from the Rocking Horse Classic go to support.  The Rocking Horse Classic is the largest fundraiser for the June Brandy Foundation, which uses horse shows to raise money to help families with children suffering from pediatric illness, disease or disability.  This year’s show raised just shy of $6,000!

None of that success would have been possible if it wasn’t for the generous sponsors and donors that gave the over $6,000 in prizes the exhibitors won.  The prestigious and most coveted award, the brand new Harris show halter was won by Ireland Cofrancesco showing Shock After Shock.  Reserve in the class and winning one of the Premium Ads given by PleasureHorse.com and other great awards was Sydney Miller showing Upgrade to Escalade owned by Timothy Guelich.  Third place overall and the highest placing Novice exhibitor in the Showmanship Showdown was Hanna Norman showing Willy Inthe Moonlight.  She won a custom Stall Front Horsewear Bag and Style Stable Show Cooler along with another $300 in prizes and awards.  Over 25 exhibitors competed for over $2,500 in prizes in the Showmanship Showdown making for a very deep class.

The second largest class of the Rocking Horse Classic was the Open Hunter Under Saddle Futurity.  The class hosted over 20 exhibitors and even the judges remarked how deep the class was when turning in their cards.  The class winner (and also Non-Pro winner) was Tonya Carmean showing Sum Kind Of Money.  Reserve was Gary Weeks showing Love in the Moonlite for Barbara Delgott.  Forth place overall and the Novice Champion in the class was Charmaine Kospiah showing Radicalized.

Winning the Western Pleasure Futurity and beating out 17 other entries was Breonna Royer showing Krymsuns Kowgirl for Grace Hovis.  She took home not only the other Premium Ad from PleasureHorse.com but she also won a Western Saddle carry from Style Stable and an additional $250 in prizes!!

The June Brandy Foundation wants to thank all the exhibitors who entered a class, showed to win or maybe competed out of the kindness of their heart just to help charity.  The Rocking Horse Classic’s success is only because of the generosity and kindness of all of the exhibitors, sponsors, trainers, vendors and donors that come out year after year to show their support.  This year marked the 3rd Annual Rocking Horse Classic and the Foundation can’t wait for next year to host its 4th Annual Rocking Horse Classic and continue their mission to help critically ill children in need.

PleasureHorse.com is proud to lend its support to such a worthy cause.  By donating Premium ads in our award-winning digital magazine, Show Horse Today, along with helping to create awareness to this wonderful event, we encourage others to get involved in next year’s show and/or contribute directly to The June Brandy Foundation.
