WVQHA Breeder’s Futurity Stallions Still Available!

Consistently, WVQHA has many great stallion owners and breeders that embrace our Breeder’s Futurity, and for this WVQHA is eternally grateful. Without the stallion owners’ generosity, our Breeders program would not be what it is today. We paid out $11,550 this year (2013), as you may read in our results, which is also rare for a futurity of our size in present times. Of course, it is our goal to see an increase every year. We have several breedings still available and will have them posted online through breeding season in 2014 for 50% of the advertised fee.

 With our Mountain State (Open) Futurity, we tested an addition of nontraditional AQHA classes by an introduction of color breed classes this year, and though we did not have an overwhelming number of entries, we believe there is much opportunity to build from this beginning. Besides new classes, not to go unnoticed, are the reputable trainers that frequently show at our facility bringing clients and exhibitors to our grounds and chose to donate to our trainer service auction. These trainers raised just shy of $1000 by donating their services for auction and allowing us to use their money to contribute to our Mountain State portion of the show which became added money to class purses in 2013. The Mountain State Futurity paid out $4,210.00 this year (2013).

They will sell for 50% of the advertised price until July 15, 2014. Purchasing a stallion enables the mare owner to have one free entry for the resulting foal to the WVQHA Breeders Futurity and the stallion owner donating is also entitled to a free entry every year the stallion sells. Mare owners do not have to be WVQHA members to purchase the breedings.  Mare owners will be responsible for any addition chute fees, booking fees or shipping payable to the stallion owner.
