FOUNDATION for the Florida Horse Park Presents RED, RIDE & BLUE June 30, 2012
The Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new family-friendly concert series at its 500-acre facility in south Ocala, beginning Saturday, June 30.
With a star-studded signature event, Red, Ride and Blue, the park welcomes a brand new repertoire of talent and fun in a great outdoor setting, with local opening musicians The Shane Wooten Band and Six String Recovery, as well as additional soloists beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The headliner of the evening will be Garrett Miles, a rising star in the country music industry, who has donated his time and five-person band to perform from 7:30-9 p.m. Miles, 23, has received national accolades for his rich voice and range, and his strong patriotic values.
General admission (excluding trail riding) is $10 at the gate.
“We are so excited to present this brand new concert series at the Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park. This afternoon and evening is designed to provide great music and fun in a family-friendly environment,” said Connie Wise, Chair of the Foundation for the Florida Horse Park. “Bring a lawn chair, bring the family, and come ready to have a good time. See you there!”
To add to the June 30 festivities, the Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park is hosting a Celebrity Trail Ride at the park, which begins at the park at 4 p.m. (Cost to ride+admission is $20: All riders are welcome; must provide proof of current Coggins test for their horses.) Stalls can be rented for $25 per day; limited campsites are also available by emailing [email protected].
Musician Garrett Miles, who is blind, will also be participating in the Celebrity Trail Ride and will be teaming up with a student of the Marion Therapeutic Riding Association.
