Reichert Celebration Announces New Yearling Sale Format

Alan Parker AuctionsAlan Parker Auctions LLC, was recently named Director of Auction Sales for the Reichert Celebration, which will be held in Ft. Worth, Texas,  August 30- September 9, 2012.  The Sale is being held Sept 7th and 8th.  The Yearling Stakes Sale will be held on a first come/first served basis, and is limited to 200 head of Western Pleasure Yearlings.   There will also be a Special HUS Yearling Stakes Sale, limited to 40 head, a broodmare section, limited to 25 head, and a show horse section, limited to 40 head.  The POA Division, now in its second year, will have a special yearling POA Ponies session, limited to 30 head, and a section for Show POA Ponies, limited to 20 head.

“One of the most exciting things to announce about the sale this year is the new Yearling Stakes Sale format,” said Alan Parker. The new  entry schedule will feature a sliding scale entry fee which allows all horses to be entered for a $750.00 entry fee (paid up front), with the final fees and commissions to be determined by the amount of the final bid in the  auction ring.  “This levels the playing  field for  the initial entry of all horses, and the final cost for each horse  is determined by the performance of the horse in the sale ring,” said Parker.  “For example, a horse that brings under $9500 in the ring will pay only the $750, but if it brings between $9501 and $18,500, the total entry fee charged for that horse will be $1500 ($750 of which was paid up front) and if it brings over $18,500, the total entry fee charged will be $2000 ($750 of which was paid up front).  All commission fees will be 9% of the final price in the ring, with a 4% No Sale fee to $29,999 and 9% No Sale Fee for horses bringing $30,000 or more.”
