The Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Show continues in Oklahoma City.

The Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show is the world’s largest single-breed youth world championship horse show. This is the pinnacle for youth around the world who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the 33 classes representing halter, English and western disciplines. The 2,350 entries at this year’s event represent competitors from the United States, Canada, Venezuela, Germany, New Zealand and Australia. The show is being held August 5-13 at Oklahoma State Fair Park.

On Thursday, August 11, six AQHYA members were named world champions at the Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City.

Hunter Hack World Champion – Alexis Parisek of Elgin, Illinois, showing Slow N Natural, a 2006 sorrel gelding. Owned by Alexis Parisek of Elgin, Illinois, and bred by Stanley or Susan Scott LLC of Ocala, Florida.

Hunter Under Saddle World Champion – Charley Thiel of Dublin, Ohio, showing Tophat And Tails, a 2005 brown gelding. Owned by Charley Thiel of Dublin, Ohio. and bred by Philip V. Clark from Shelby, Ohio.

Hunt Seat Equitation World Champion – Gillian Grace Chant of Abilene, Texas, showing Zippo Romeo, a 1997 sorrel gelding. Owned by Chant Family Ranch of Abilene, Texas, and bred by Winridge Farm of Cleburne, Texas.

Western Pleasure World Champion – Brianna Tamulewicz of Westerville, Ohio, showing Dark Jasmine, a 2006 sorrel mare. Owned by Susan L. Ostrander of Westerville, Ohio, and bred by Charlene J. Vanness from London, Ohio.

Pole Bending World Champion – Danielle Tharp of Beebe, Arkansas, showing Classy Chico, a 1994 gray gelding. Owned by Sonny Noble of Beebe, Arkansas, and bred by Garlyn O. Shelton of Temple, Texas.

Stake Race World Champion – Ali Einolander of Templeton, California, showing Sun Kissed Jet, a 2003 buckskin mare. Owned by Ali Einolander of Templeton, California, and bred by Tim P. Parker and Doug Brown of Paso Robles, California.

World Champions received a prize package that included a custom-designed gold-tone trophy, Montana Silversmiths buckle, neck wreath, gold medallion, logoed Cripple Creek leather jacket, world championship patch, Professional’s Choice product and a WeatherBeeta embroidered blanket.
