Announcing Requirements for All Consignors in the 2011 Reichert Celebration Sale
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CONSIGNORS IN THE 2011 REICHERT CELEBRATION SALE:
from Alan Parker Auctions…
We welcome your consignments enthusiastically, and wish you the very best sale success possible at this year’s sale! I would like to take this opportunity to cover just a few general “housekeeping” issues. There are only four basic paperwork requirements that consignors need to satisfy before Hip #’s can be issued at the sale- after the initial consignment contract and entry fees have been submitted. These are: 1) the Original Coggins, 2) Health Certificate, 3) Original Registration Papers and 4) Original Signed Transfer.
ORIGINAL COGGINS PAPERS: Because there has always been confusion regarding the Coggins in the past, please be advised that the following is required: Original Coggins – NOT A COPY OF THE COGGINS!! dated within 6 months of the date of the sale. Coggins must be drawn AFTER March 10th, 2011. If you do not have your original Coggins test or if it is dated prior to March 10th, 2011, you should get a new one drawn NOW in order to avoid the risk of your horse not being able to go through the sale. Horses that do not meet the Coggins requirements prior to the time the horse is to be offered, will not be allowed to pass through the ring or be sold. A horse cannot be permitted to pass through the ring or be sold on a “drawn Coggins” at this sale. A horse that does not pass through the ring, whether sold or not, cannot meet the eligibility requirements for the Reichert Celebration Sale Futurity Classes. The final paperwork must be in the office before the horse can go through the ring. Even if a Coggins were to be drawn at the sale, it must be back and the paperwork turned in, or your horse will not be able to go through the ring. Texas requires Original Coggins in order for horses to be offered in a sale. We are expecting several International Buyers at this sale, and they MUST have Original Coggins to be transported.
NOTE: Be Advised that The Reichert Celebration Office has just informed our office that you will need to have your Health Papers and copy of current Coggins in order to even drive onto the show grounds in Ft. Worth. This includes your show horses as well. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS REQUIREMENT!!!
HEALTH CERTIFICATE: A Health Certificate dated within 30 days of the sale must be turned in to the sale office. Horses that have Health Certificates dated prior to August 9, 2011 will be required to have a new Health Certificate done, and it will need to be turned in to the office prior to the horse being offered, or the horse cannot go through the ring or be sold. PAPERWORK: Original Breed Registration Papers and signed Transfer Forms for each applicable breed certificate are required to be on file in the office prior to the horse going through the ring. It is recommended that you send this paperwork to our Florida Office prior to the sale. (Alan Parker Auctions LLC, 4411 East Knights Griffin Rd, Plant City, Fl. 33565). You are advised to use Certified/Return Receipt Mail or FEDEX. If you do decide to send paperwork in ahead of the sale, be sure that it arrives at our office prior to August 28th, 2011. After that, it should be brought to the sale. By turning paperwork in early, you will greatly enhance your check-in experience at the sale, and speed up the whole process of getting your hip numbers, which you will need in order to participate in the demonstration on Thursday. The Original Coggins should also be turned in ahead of time to the office in Florida, and we encourage you to do so (keep a copy for your records and for the veterinarian writing your Health Certificate). This way, all that would remain for you to do is to turn your Health Certificate in at the Sale Office and you will have everything taken care of!
BARN MANAGER/CONSIGNOR REPRESENTATIVE: Dale North( 813-695-4200) will be on the grounds on Monday, Sept 5th, 2011 to assist you prior to and during the entire sale. Feel free to contact Dale with any questions or problems that may arise once you are on the grounds.
CONSIGNOR REPRESENTATIVE INFO: We will have three consignor representatives to help you through the sale process. They are Shane Watson (513-543-3313), Dale North (above), and Jason Ducharme (248-459-2010). During the sale, they will be at the back gate of the sale ring. We recommend that you let them know that you are the consignor of the horse, so that they will be able to communicate with you while your horse is being sold.
CONSIGNORS MEETING: Friday morning, Sept 9th, 2011 at 8:00AM in the sale ring. This meeting will cover questions you might have regarding the sale process, and will address the placement of reserves on your horse in the sale. Please bring any unanswered questions or concerns to this meeting. Updates, if any, regarding the time or place of this meeting will be posted at the sale office on Thursday, Sept 8, 2011.
Please feel free to call or email with any questions or concerns that you may have.
