Etched In The Stars is a 16.1 Hand AQHA Brown Stallion, fondly known as “Regis.” He is an exciting young stallion who is “Etching” his history into the AQHA show books as a top competitor in several English events. This friendly and kind stallion is known for his incredible personality, and consistently captures the hearts of those who meet him. Debbie Jowett, of Eclipse Quarter Horses, purchased Regis as a yearling from Judy Pryor. He is out of the last foal crop of the great Deck Of Star. After looking at many prospects, Debbie was confident that she had found not only a beautiful performance prospect but also a horse with a disposition and incredibly trainable attitude that would make him an extraordinary stallion. Hard work and a great horse have paid off for Eclipse Quarter Horses. Etched In The Stars, is exactly what they had hoped for. Now a two time World Qualifier in Pleasure Driving, Top 10 AQHA World Show Placer, Top 10 in the Nation in Pleasure Driving and points earned in three different events, Regis has proven to be a great show horse and a great friend. Etched in The Stars is continuing to expand his talents in 2006 with Hunter hack and Amateur Pleasure Driving.

Etched In The Stars is by the great Deck Of Stars, who is included in the Western Horseman’s Legends 5 book. Deck Of Stars was a Superior Halter Horse with over 280 performing offspring. His get have earned over 14,000 AQHA Points and over $125,000 in AQHA Incentive Fund Earning in All Divisions Combined. He has produced AQHA Champions, numerous ROM and Superior Award Earners and multiple World and Reserve World Champions. His sire, Skipa Star, sired 71 halter and performance Superior Award winners with 31 of those being Superior Award winners in performance events. Skipa Star sired many good halter horses but he was equally known for producing exceptional performers.
Etched In The Stars’ dam, Cassie De Great is a proven producer with multiple point earning offspring. She comes from a tremendous performance line as well. Her Sire Tommy De Great was the sire of Hunter Under Saddle money earners and the sire of earners of over $40,000 in all combined performance classes. His sire was the great thoroughbred Coup De Kas who sired World Champion Quarter Horses and traces back to the famous Native Dancer. Cassie De Great’s maternal side is equally known for producing tremendous performers, and includes the great sire, Go Dick Go who produced several performers including AQHA Champion and Reserve World Champions.
Regis’ performance ability is backed by a strong foundation of Champions that have produced Champions. This beautiful young stallion is not only a proven show horse but also an exceptionally well-bred one.
Stephanie Lynn started him right and slow when he was a two year old, He was Shown by Stephanie in 2004 and shown in 2005 at the World Show with Nancy Alto at the reins.
Regis made it to the show pen the end of his three-year-old year, and became a point earner the first time shown. He won in Jr. Hunter Under Saddle, 3YO Open, Amateur and NSBA Futurities. Regis was just a couple points away from qualifying for the World in Hunter Under Saddle when he broadened his class schedule with Pleasure Driving. Next, Etched In the Stars was sent to Brian Holmes in Oklahoma to learn his new event. In just a few short months Regis debuted at the Red Bud with Brian and was first under 5 judges and 2nd under the 6th. So in that one show he qualified for the World Show and was Circuit Champion his first time out. About a month later, Regis debuted in halter and was first under both judges! Every time Etched In The Stars has entered a new event he has excelled and gotten points his first time out.
Etched In The Stars is sure to prove to be an outstanding sire. His foals are sure to carry on the same promising futures as he and others before them. His beautiful slow jog and lope will put balance, beauty and cadence on the western bred mares as well.
