Alan Parker began his career in the auction business in the late 1950’s. The Alan Parker Auction Company was established in 1968 with the acquisition of a small defunct livestock auction barn. In his 50-plus years history in the auction business, the third generation auctioneer has gone on to hold over 5,000 auctions; from church bake sales to antique automobiles and million dollar equines.
Alan Parker has held automobile sales, antique sales, farm and heavy equipment sales, exotic animal sales, and horse and cattle sales. He has sold charity auctions and fundraisers for the American Diabetes Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, 4-H, Future Farmers of America, The American Quarterhorse Foundation, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and many more. He has sold over 3,600 automobile auctions in the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico, has had an over 26 year association with Manheim Auctions, the world’s premier auto remarketing firm, and has sold over $1.296 billion worth of cars.
With over half a century’s experience in the auction business, Alan Parker Auctioneers has conducted over 5,000 auctions, which have realized over $1.5 billion in sales, including 25 years of the All American Quarter Horse Congress Super Sale, 15 years at the National Reining Horse Futurity Sale, 15 years at the Breeders Classic Sale, 23 years at the Tattersalls Quarter Horse Sales, 10 years at the National Paso Fino Sale, The Paint Horse Congress, the Pinto World Sale, The Houston Livestock Show, The Fort Worth Stock Show Sales, The National Cutting Horse Sales, The Appaloosa World and National Sales, The National Reining Horse Derby Sale, and production sales for many of America’s top breeders.
We have produced auctions in the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. As a major exporter of horses, we have shipped horses to 18 different countries on four continents.
Auction career highlights include selling the highest priced Quarter Horse Stallion (Invitation Only) ever sold at auction at $2.350 million at the David James Dispersal, and the highest priced Carousel Horse (a Parker Peekaboo Mane Lead Horse) at $88,000.
Alan Parker Auctioneers has also exported horses, cattle, RV’s and automobiles to 18 foreign countries.
As well as being a world class auctioneer and sale management team, our key staff members are well seasoned trainers and showmen.
As long-time breeders and competitors, we have raised, owned, shown or raced over seventy-five World Champion horses in Western Pleasure, Reining, Cutting, Halter and Racing. We have raised a session topping horse at the 2007 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. We have raised and sold major Thoroughbred Stakes winners as well as World Record Setting Quarter Horse Race horses.
A member of the National Auctioneers Association, Alan Parker and his family are members of the Hillsborough United Methodist Church in Tampa.
