McMullen named Membership Services Manager by the APHA

FORT WORTH, Texas – The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) recently announced Michael McMullen of Troy, Texas, as the new Membership Services Manager. The main responsibility of this position is membership recruitment and retention for both APHA and the AjPHA membership rolls.
McMullen graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science as well as a Masters of Science in Agriculture. He worked seven years with the U. S. Department of Agriculture as a County Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency. He was also a Park Ranger for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

His personal experience with horses include being a member of the American Paint Horse Association and owner of two horses including a Paint Horse he uses for team roping and trail riding. During his time at Tarleton State University, he assisted with equine judging events and contests for 4-H and FFA. His hobby of equine and wildlife photography became a business venture in 2009. He has since photographed numerous dressage, cross-country, jumping and roping events as well as occasional wildlife.
